Another Slide Question
When the kitchen slide that has the stove and fridge is within a inch of being fully extended we hear a loud snapping sound. This is heard more loudly inside than out.
Any ideas what would be causing this?

Is your slide hydraulic or cable operated?

I would be looking under the slide when it is being extended. Sounds like you have something beneath the slide or something is catching. I don't know of any models that have a cable operated kitchen slide.

That's been my experience like Bingo said I have always found some item stuck in under the slide ,I have found everything from a spice container to cat toys under there popping and crunching when I close the slide ,so now we do not let our Cats play with Marbles in the 5er, talk about a crunching sound a Marble EXPLODES when smashed by a slide THAT will make ya Jump and say OH CR.P

Hi
The kitchen slide leans out when going around a curve at 60 MPH.
I have fished stuff as big as the dog’s water dish from under the kitchen slide. LOL

Our Kitchen Slide has cables and it popped as the OP described. We haven't retracted the slide since this happened. If it's ok to ask, how do you check for objects under the slide? Thanks.

At couple of things to look at with the cable slide outs. Your pulley brackets on the inside wall near both ends of the slide should be secure to the wall. Are They? On top of your slide there are a some blocks that the cables fasten into. They have to pass each other as the slide opens and closes. Sometimes they catch on each other and could cause a popping sound. Also check your cables very carefully. Is there any sign of pinched or frayed cable, particularly where the cable goes through the wall to the outside? If so, you might have a broken frame around your slide out that is catching as the slide out moves in and out. The frayed cables may be a sign that the broken frame is moving vertically as you travel and is actually slowly cutting through the cable. First hand knowledge here. Keystone is actually repairing our frame as we post this.

It seems I've found my problem. The bottom of the slide is too low to the floor and is catching the lip of the little well that is attached to the floor by the wall. I'll have to take it to the dealership for adjustment.
Thanks for all the replies.

Hi
For the record my slides are hydraulic. I don’t know anything about the cable operated slides.

Yes,all my slides are hydraulic. My SOB was all cables which made it much lighter than the Monty and found that the small slides worked great but the large ones struggled. My SOB was the 82nd one made by a new company and they had issues.
It pains me to take the Monty to a dealer as I like doing all my own work but I think I'll leave the slide adjustment to the "so called professionals" as I'm unsure which way to make the vertical adjustment.

Took the Monty to the dealer today for the adjustment. Took me one and half hours each way but now all is working fine.
