White Elephant Gift Exchange
The White Elephant Gift Exchange will be on Saturday, May 29th at 7:30 p.m. in the Clubhouse. This has become the “Unofficial Game of the MOC” and it’s lots of fun!!
Each rig desiring to play should bring a wrapped gift valued at $15-$20. It can be a lovely gift or something really fun and outrageous, but let's try to make them useful in some way and valued at the suggested price. Participation is optional, but you will miss out on a lot of laughs if you don’t play.
Don't tell anyone what you brought!
Each rig will be given a number when they deliver their gift to the Clubhouse. The order of play will be determined by a random draw of numbers from a can. The rig holding the matching number gets to pick a gift.
The first number pulled goes up and picks one from all the wrapped gifts and must open it immediately. No touching the gifts before selecting.
The second number pulled has the option to take the first gift that was unwrapped, or they can take a wrapped gift. If they take a wrapped gift, they must also open it immediately.
The third number pulled has the option to “steal” a gift from the folks ahead of them, or they can pick a wrapped gift.
If a gift is stolen, the person who has had their gift taken can take a gift from another person or pick another wrapped gift and open it immediately.
A gift can only be stolen once each round.
A gift can be stolen three times, but upon the third steal becomes that person’s and is no longer part of the play.
This goes on until every rig has taken a gift. At that time, the first rig has the opportunity to swap their gift for any of the gifts still in play.
It becomes quite hilarious to see what gifts folks have brought and to see what gifts become "in demand" by everyone.
If you haven't ever participated in a White Elephant Gift Exchange, you are in for a treat!

Yes a real white elephant was found and now living with me. He goes by Montgomery E. LePhant, but he prefers to be call "Monty". So as with the Dancing Flowers Monty he will too be making the RV life part of his. He is hoping for many adventures in the years to come, maybe stopping at a few zoos to visit his friends who can not enjoy the open road. So just beware Monty could come in a small box as he did to me or a large box fitting his statue. You just will never know..

Susan,
You did a great job with the White Elephant exchange. Love the continuation of the Flowers and the addition of Montgomery E. LePhant.
Greg,
Take care of that cute little Monty. He's a cutie that's for sure.

Sue,
Jack and David ended up with the Traveling Flowers. And Greg ended up with the latest "mascot" Monty..... As in Montgomery E. LePhant. Hopefully Greg will post a picture or two of the cute little guy.
Hope all is going well with you and Ed wherever you are. You are missed here at the Memorial Day gathering.
Later,
Dennis

Dana and I wanted to thank everyone for being so welcoming on our first rally! We had a great time meeting everyone and learning (a lot!) about the Monty life. Special thanks to Rich and Kathy for adopting Baxter from us (the Toucan we adopted doesn't require house training or special doggy glasses for those eyes!).
Happy Travels!

Is there a picture of Montgomery E. LePhant?
Sounds like a good time was had by all. Congrats to the 2011 guardians of the dancing flowers. Does this mean they will make it to Qsite??
