Good CG in Mesa???
We will be in the Mesa area after the weekend for a few days visiting family. A lot of you have stayed in that area, I am looking for suggestions on where to stay. we would like to use a Passport America park but that is not a deal breaker. Betsy's cousin lives in Mesa and we would like to keep drive times to a minimum..

Dave and Betsy,
There are probably hundreds of RV parks in the Mesa area and this time of year you should have your pick of them. We enjoyed the county park just north of Mesa. It is Usery Mountain Park. Just checked the RV Reviews website and it shows the current rate of $40! When we stayed there it was just $15! What a difference a few years makes! We also stayed at 2 or 3 different commercial parks in Mesa/Apache Junction area and found all of them to be good to excellent. Good luck, Dennis

If you want a little more 'natural' setting than the in town parks, try Lost Dutchman State park or Usery Mountain Regional park. No sewer hookup, but water and I think 50 Amp service. Nice hiking trails, etc. About 5 minutes back to town. I think a 14 day limit.

We stay in Orangewood Shadows for the winter, also Mesa Spirit on University. Good central locations and close to grocery stores and shopping.

I can't remember the name of it, but there's a Passport America at 1800 N Idaho in Apache Junction. It was very nice for the price. I think we paid $15 per night.

Haven't been there in years.. but, when we traveled there a few years on a row.. Valle Del Oro..almost on the border of Apache Junction. The big thing there for me was the wood shop..wood carving group.. pools, etc etc etc.. Loved it.
