Water Hose Hatch
Not a big or expensive upgrade but much needed, after watching a mouse climb up the water hose. This really was a 10 minute job, though my wife will remind me there is no such thing in construction. Removed the round head screws & replaced with flush head & a little black silicone & now it closes tight to the water hose.

We were just discussing that we need a way to close that up. Could you please tell us what you used? Thanks!

It's a cable hatch, bought it on Amazon, it was 10$. Just Google black rv cable hatch.

Pool noodles also work for this. Granted not quite as clean in appearance.

Ours get filled with water known to be good before we leave the house. We are good for 7-9 days and no hoses to mess with... We use it the way it was designed to be, fully self contained.

That's what I use. I also use one where the plumbing from the bathroom sink runs through the floor.

LOL to each his own.
But keep in mind a lot of us are full timers, some not by choice. We don't now and would NEVER boondock. Only time we use the water tank is when they are working on the park water system. When we were weekend warriors we used it only at parks that didn't have water hookups BUT we tried to avoid those parks as we considered them substandard.
Different strokes for different folks.
Besides if they were designed to be fully self contained they would all have generators installed at the factory and rain collection systems eh?
All in fun my friend.

That is a great add and looks very clean. We have seen mice going up the hoses ourselves. And you would be surprised what snakes will do......

Agree, almost any little critter can get in those unnoticed spots. We stay seasonal so having a hose hooked up is not an option, we also travel off the grid for a few days & use it self contained. It sure seems to be built for both & does well at both, we can stay four days with no issues & serves as a great home base. Dont forget to close up between the propane compartmebt & the generator compartment, lots of openings.

I cut a round piece out of a 3" thick foam pillow insert that I got at HobbyLobby. Worked out great as I used the rest of the insert to plug the gap between the frame and body behind the convenience center that was letting cold air in to freeze all my plumbing.
